Although El D is undoubtedly smoother than I when it comes to women, I can't help but think that giving jewelry to a woman days before a first date would seem incredibly creepy.

DO NOTHING!

You've already wished her a happy birthday, you've known her for less than 4 hours (I'm guessing) so why do you owe her anything besides the comment you've already made in passing.

Don't come off as try-hard or needy and you'll be fine. You'll have plenty of time to ask her about her birthday on your date.
