Default Multi-tabling DEEP!

Last night I was 4-tabling 200NL and I had 200-300BB stacks on all four tables (I was running hawt!). Well a hand came up that made me rethink my current position of playing deep:

SB: $480
Me: $600+

CU calls $2, SB (a regular) calls $2, I check in BB with J2

Flop: J82 (All Diamonds) (Pot $6)

SB overbets pot $8, I raise to $24, CU folds, SB re-raises to $69, I fold

There are a few reasons I folded here. He can have J8, 88, a small flopped flush, etc. I stacked a guy in this position with the hands reverse last week when I had top-two and the villian had top and bottom, so I am leary of moving foward as played with this hand. Not having a diamond sucks as well

Anyway, so after some of the fish swam away, I closed most of the tables and reopened a few more with standard 100BB stacks (all the tables were loose last night in 200NL so it was no real lose). I know I play more efficient with a 100BB stack than deep, anyway.

My question is, when you are deep on the majority of your tables do you continue to play deep or do you ever close out and restart with a 100BB stack? I know this is going to be dependent on if the table goes bad (ie: the fish leave), but it would be interesting to here strategy, opionon on deep play, etc. Also feel free on commenting on the above hand if you think I am a nit or I made a good fold. Thx.

Because any lone diamond can 3-bet you, but also any higher two pair, sets, or flushes can also 3-bet you and you have to fold either way. If you call, you can see another card before you make your decision. Especially with position and one person to act I don't like a raise.

Yeah I fold here. A good regular has you beat here the majority of the time, he may possibly have just the A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] but you're well behind behind his range which also includes 88, 22, J8 and made flushes.
As for the stacks, I never leave tables just because I'm deep. However I certainly don't stay on a table just because I have a deep stack when all the fish have left. Having deep stacks vs a big fish is awesome news though.

I personally like your line. You could be ahead, you could be behind, you could hit a boat, etc...

However, I believe this falls under a "Folding is only a small mistake." I see no real reason to get mixed up in this pot with a marginal hand. There are plenty of ways to make easier money at this level.

Reg vs. reg you're not really get called by worse that much on this flop in a limped pot if you raise. I don't mind a call at all.
