Re: 4/180 AK at final table.....do i call?
Don't fold. Not being willing to call because you "don't want to flip for a big stack" is stupid, I mean you already have 10k of your money in there wtf...

Re: 4/180 AK at final table.....do i call?
I would have thought you should have some kind of read with 6 players left at the final table, unless this guy came from the other table when there was only 2 tables left, and 3 people busted out really quickly, which is unlikely.
In any case, even with no reads I think it's a call, especially given it's 6 handed. |

Re: 4/180 AK at final table.....do i call?
I've seen this before at a 4/180. Instead, mp1 min-raised, co just called, and i re-raised on the button with AK. The first limper folded and the second shoved. Instacall, the guy had AJs.
Given that villain didn't raise the button there does add to the thought that he could have a big hand, but it also makes it more likely that he's running some kind of bluff. Once you factor that in his range, I think its a call. If his hand is legit though, it isn't AQs, and your most likely even money or behind. |

[ QUOTE ]
I instacall this in a 4/180. You are slightly ahead, or slightly behind, or have villain dominated. No matter what should be willing to take a coin flip at this stage in a 4/180, PLEASE don't fold. [/ QUOTE ] FYP If you're not willing to take a coin flip at this point in a 4/180, you are playing way to nitty and will never win one. The only hand you're REALLY scared of is AA, the 2nd worst case for you is KK. But in a 4/180, while it is possible, it is equally possible for them to have AK, AQ, AJ, or a smaller PP. Flip, flip away... |

Re: 4/180 AK at final table.....do i call?
Amazing how a very similar situation happened to me in the Million$ Grtd.a month ago.
It was 500/1000+ante or something similar. I had 48K (avg stack was lower), and raised to 5K on the Button. The UTG who had limped, pushed and had me barely covered. I insta-called with a 43:55 and of course lost out to his 99. But I'd do it every single time as the DU would put me way ahead with a big stack where I could thrive with a lot of steals I couldnt do otherwise. |

Re: 4/180 AK at final table.....do i call?
Thanks for all the good feedback guys. Of course I called and he turned over KK and it held up leaving me with 6k left. I doubled up and then one a few pots and had about 16k left but then got knocked out with AJ against 55. I was disappointed though because I was in great position to win the whole thing and blew it
