Re: What do you think of colleges that treat kids like jails?
This is the Christian College mentality - I could write stories and posts that would your hair and even your [censored] white -
two types of kids there - those that try to obey every rule and those who try to break them, like my friend Brec - apparently trying to start the wave in Chapel is disrespectful - I shake my head - I can't justify it, but I understand it cause I had to go thru it - look at how good I turned out. Re: What do you think of colleges that treat kids like jails?
I visited a lot of small christian schools before choosing a state university.
I hated the rules, some offered less freedom than I had at home. The funny thing is that one of the schools I visited, actually gave you your ration of toilet paper *only* if you passed room inspection for the week (cleanness etc). Another rule was that you had to keep your door open at all times if you watched a movie in the room with a girl in the room, and of course no "r" rated movies were allowed. |

"Entering the space above ceiling tiles" "Failure to properly identify oneself" and of course $500 for "Immorality" (unspecified) |

So, that's where these [censored] people come from... I bet that guy from VA who's sponsoring the anti-gambling bill is a proud alum. [ QUOTE ] 4 Reprimands + $10 Fine Horseplay 12 Reprimands + $50 Fine Attendance at, possession or viewing of, an "R," "NC-17" or "X"-rated movie 30 Reprimands + $500 Fine Abortion Immorality Involvement with witchcraft, séances or other occult activities [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] Funny that to these supposedly pro-life Christians, watching the entire Clerks trilogy is actually a little worse than infanticide... talk about a sliding scale!
