Default Warm-up hand... how would you play?

Villian is new to table, but in the hands he has been here, he is loose and floaty, getting involved in a lot of pots with bad hands.

Hero (9450)
Villian (17495)
Blinds 100/200
Dealt to Hero [9s Ah]
CO: Pelopidas: raises 400 to 600
Villian: calls 600
sb: folds
bb: folds
*** FLOP *** [7h 8h 5h]
Hero: checks
Villian: checks
*** TURN *** [7h 8h 5h] [2s]
Hero: checks
Villian: bets 600
Hero: calls 600
*** RIVER *** [7h 8h 5h 2s] [Th]
Hero: ....???

Now I played the hand the way I did, because I figured he was on 2 broadway, and was checking to induce bluffs, plus i didnt want to have to fold a monster draw to a giant overbet. Given that.... is the river a c/r or do you lead out?

Why did you check the flop? I would bet like 1k here and happy to get it all in. Given your flop check, I guess turn is fine. C/r probably would be okay too. River I think you gotta bet.

edit: oh u already said why u checked, but betting is def better.
