Default Raise 4-Straight on River, Villian Shoves Over

I'm not sure about this river (or any of the rest of it. I'm experimenting with widening my limping range on the button when another weak plaer limps in, that is very debatable. Also, I think the flop should definitely be a bet, but I'm more concerned about the river. Both times the villian (solid reg) timed all the way down before making his play. I thought about flat calling the first bet because a raise in that spot is super transparent, but figured that was way too weak. Given that the raise was transparent, I decided beforehand that I would fold to a 3-bet, but after he did it I had second thoughts...

Preflop is a fold. And I doubt any "solid reg" is limping UTG.

I usually will bet the flop when its checked to here.

River is close.

I guess he might limp A8s,98,87s UTG..but he also limps KQ UTG.

Since there are more combinations with the 8 in them (even though we have the 8 of clubs) I'd call, and not like it.

Dude fold it's a limped pot it's so ez that he can have KQ... fold preflop I hate limping here, fold turn, definitely fold river when he shoves over your raise.

Dont raise river. As played, fold to the all in.

Ok, good replies. The 'solid reg' is BB, not the UTG limper. Folding or raising pre is fine, as I said, it's just an experiment for now. I was thinking Q8 for BB, I really don't see him pushing a lone 8 or worse. Bah, my first instinct on the river was to call. I should have known to trust myself. I folded to the 3-bet.
