Re: Hollywood Mardi Gras
[ QUOTE ]
As of last night, the word at the Seminole Coconut Creek casino was that perhaps as early as Wednesday they will be spreading a variety of limit games (e.g., straight, 2/4, 1-5 spread, and straight 5), as well as no limit with NO $100 CAP on the buy in (i.e., $100 max required buy in, but either no cap or their own discretionary cap). Right now they're tentatively planning on 1/2, 2/5, and 5/10, but said they will spread whatever the traffic will bear. [/ QUOTE ] The Hard Rock in Hollywood will become a mecca if/when they implement this. I read that story this morning, too (front-page of the Sun-Sentinel). I feel awful for the non-Indian card rooms ... |

Re: FLORIDA ALLOWING POKER GAME STAKES TO BE RAISED IN JULY!
Has anyone thought about which chips the casinos will use for the higher stakes games? Will new chips come into play hopefully?

'high' stakes games?
Lets not get crazy now. These games are still not high-stakes. |

Re: FLORIDA ALLOWING POKER GAME STAKES TO BE RAISED IN JULY!
I just spoke to a dealer who works at the Seminole Casino at Coconut Creek who finished training this morning. He confirmed that the plan is, perhaps as early as Wednesday, to spread the following games:
$2/$5 Pot Limit Omaha (high only) $2/$4 or $2/$5 Limit Omaha High/low Straight $2 and $2 Ante Hold Em $1-$5 Spread Limit Hold Em $2/$4 or $3/$5 Limit Hold Em $1/$2 (or whatever there’s interest for) No Limit Hold Em The Seminoles DO NOT intend to cap the buy in to the no limit games at $100. The REQUIRED buy in to any game will be $100, but players will be able to buy in for appropriate maximums (e.g., a $2/$5 no limit game will have a maximum buy in of $500). |
