In what book did it say not to raise the first three position in full ring PLO? Does, in general, the forum find this sound advice? [/ QUOTE ] I'll summarize the general correct consensus on the forum. The hand in this thread you should raise like 50-60% of the time from blinds or EP if you have been raising this hand (and other premium hands from EP) |

In what book did it say not to raise the first three position in full ring PLO? [/ QUOTE ] Lyle Berman says it in Super System 2. [ QUOTE ] Never raise before the flop from a front position. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] So here is a general rule: do not raise before the flop from under the gun or from the two blind positions, because you'll be over-committing yourself to your hand. [/ QUOTE ] I personally find Berman's advice to be ultra-nitty, but I don't play full ring nor do I know enough to have anybody pay me to write a chapter on Omaha. |

I concur with never raising in 1st few positions. AA ain't worth crap in omaha unless u flop set or nut flush draw. Omaha is game of position, pure and simple.

[/ QUOTE ] Only hands i raise preflop in EP are those that are pure-value plays, such as AAQKds, AKAKds, AAJ10ds, ect. I would never raise with naked AAxx in EP becuase being out of position signifcantly outweighs the value of a bare AAxx, especially in a multi-way pot. |
