What i'm saying is that, as an atheist, i'm a big fan of BIG JC and the new testament but accepting it as anything other than a loose metaphor teaching a philosophical outlook is absurd.

the bible is a good story (i hate it though cos its crap) but it is highly untrue and should be banned for brainwashaments!!
at school my whole year was given bibles which we decided to use as throwing implements.. we threw them on roofs, at old people, at houses.. man those bibles were good

I would not, I don't believe, object to people getting brainwashed into being nicer and more accepting and more empathetic and more charitable but unfortunately this doesn't happen, especially to the vast majority of so-called 'christians'.

maybe the Bible doesnt make people worse people but some other books promote/accept the killing of non - believers such as the Qu'ran.. is thissomething a religion should be about?

don't asking me as 12 years old I even figured out the being catholic was wrong, but mind you once I hit voting age, I at least was smart enough to vote the right of of my mind "waiting for the right to de-unite" still...
