Default QQ - flopped overpair, but what if villian re-raises me?

Sorry if this is a noobish question....I come from a sng background where this hand is basically the nuts and shoving the flop would be standard. But I'm still trying to feel my way around in cash. Anyway, I played this hand and villian was very tight (very low pf raise, low vol$inpot, etc. After he limped along with the other limpers, but still called my raise pf, I pretty much put him on a pocket pair the whole time. Now he did fold to my c-bet, but I was wondering....if he had check-raised me....say 30 or 40 more....I would not have known what to do. If he check-raises me would folding this be a pretty standard play?....or would I shove the overpair anyway?

What is standard? I was more asking about what to do if he had check-raised me than anything else.

btw, how much should I raise to pf?

Dunno about the flop. But preflop 3-4bb + 1bb/limper + 1 bb cuz its oop is a good rule. Thats like 9-10 here.
