Re: Standard play question NLTRN
I don't like it too much. You have a nice chiplead, no need to rush things.
You're probably way behind or doing a 50/50 flip. And sometimes you pick up the pot immediately. I like it more when you are the BB the button raises and you go all-in. Even more so when the BB is 50 or 100. |

Re: Standard play question NLTRN
If the blinds were 25-50+ and the guy is raising your limps a high % this is probably the minimum PP you'd want to do this with.
In this case it's just spew to raise this high. You don't even need to post the flop turn and river, it is irrelevant here. I take it he had the ace and rivered it or something. I would just raise this to 75 or 90, whatever your normal raise size is for this level and play from there. If his ace calls in this situation your c-bet should take it down on the flop a lot of times. |

Re: Standard play question NLTRN
I don't hate your 3x BB raise from the button here, you might take it down pre-flop or pick it up with a c-bet on a lot of flops. But I think I fold to villain's re-raise this early. You have a nice stack and plenty of time. I think here you are at best flipping with two overcards to your 55, you are only way ahead of 44, 33, or 22, and I don't think most villain's re-pop you here with those cards this early unless you have been raising ATC from the button.
Too early to gambool, you can wait for a better spot. |

Re: Standard play question NLTRN
I'm just curious, what hands would you guys be shoving over the re-raise with? What hands would you call with?
I know it's broad but just give your best answer I guess. |

[/ QUOTE ] I'm not playing HU very long, but here's my answer: (oh, I play only HU sng's, no cash yet) My shoving range depends a little on the blinds-level and if I'm ahead or behind. AQ and AK is an easy shove if i'm reraised. KK and QQ too. With AA i'll call sometimes and let him hit toppair, to go broke against my overpair. With JJ i wanna see a flop first. If it's not too scary I'll go all-in. If i'm way ahead (2600 - 400 chips) almost any pocket pair is an easy shove, because it doesn't hurt too much to double him up I think. |
