I assume you have had a religious upbringing, either from your parents or at your school, do you think this is the only reason for your belief in God?

When you say you looked into Atheism, why did you still choose to believe in God? Have you ever read Richard Dawkin's God Delusion?

Does religion give a purpose to your life?

I was upbrought catholic yeah, but a lot of it was on my own, my parents went to a church about half hour away, and we had a church across the street. I just walked, plus the mass was at 5PM so i didn't have to wake up early. I kinda discovered God there, being along and away from everything, and letting myself discover Christ.

My brother is agnostic/athiest and I talk to him about theoretically if God doesn't exist and we have good discussions, I just have to have faith.

I wake up every day and say, is this it? Is this what the world is all about? All i can do is live my life, have faith, and learn. I have faith in Christ, because I know he exists.

I constantly battle with my faith, but it's so intrapersonal it's really almost indescribable.

isn't the idea of heaven just a pretty easy way to avoid thinking about your eventually impending doom?

How often do you rape, slay and molest children?

And does God always forgive you? (I guess he does since your a catholic) How many prayers does it take to make up for a murder?

I hear the pope wants to bring back Latin. Do you think he's a bit, well, mental?

Did you vote for him or the other guy?

Do you ever wish Mel Gibson wasn't a Catholic?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes.

I'm a weekly Mass goer. I consider myself Catholic, but in reality, there's so much diversity within the Church worldwide in belief and in practice that I'm sure there are Catholics out there who would consider me less than Catholic. Like the way I find Mel Gibson wanting as a Christian.

OP - you should stop answering questions. Unless you have a really good grasp of theology, world-wide religious practice, history, etc., you'll be giving an incomplete and sometimes incorrect view of Catholicism.

I got the blood of Christ at mass before and I could still taste the alcohol in it. Is there alcohol in Christ's blood or did the priest just not do his job?
