Think you gotta fold it as played. The only way you're getting the right price is if he's got 8x or worse.

The value is just there - with his stats I'd give him the action just to get involved with him.

I think you should c/c flop and turn (c/r turn is good too) unless he bets some huge amount. This guy is a maniac.

Okay, but are we calling this as played? You have to put him on worse than jack-high some nonzero percentage of the time for this to be a call.

BTW if you call and lose, villain will run around outside and tell random people, "He called me wit jack-high!" like what's-his-face did.

Well that hand was funny because there were no more cards coming out and the guy called with J high.

Anyway you're only gettin like 1.6 to 1 here, which I don't think is good enough. Even if your J was good giving you 18 outs this is generally no good. Look at this: Against T2 this is pretty close. Start adding better hands to his range and I'd think you're no way near good:

thanks for the replies. Yah it seems here the price just isn't right to make this call. Does anyone else support the line of check raising the turn? If he bets, i raise THEN he shoves it would change the pot odds quite drastically perhaps making a call correct?

This isn't the right way to think about it. "Change the pot odds to make a call correct" is the same thing as "pot-commit myself." That may not necessarily be bad, but it's also not inherently good in any way here.

A C/R is good for the simple reason that villain might fold to it often enough to make it better than C/C.

Given his stats we may be able to add some worse hands too and the point someone made about giving this guy action is a good one. If villain has AT (equivalent to T2) then this is a slightly EV+ call. Meh, fold or call it doesn't matter.
