quick question about my stats: my VPI SB is about 1-2% lower than my vpip, leak? Also my folded sb to steal is 85-90% depending on limits, could this be the reason? Anyone have links to good posts on blind defense and is it crucial in nl?

anyone know probability of flopping trips? it has to be higher than flopping a set right? (since 3 cards left in deck as opposed to 2 if you have pp)

not being results oriented, but on the turn i probably check alot. there are about 45 legitimate ways you are beat on that flop. there are (weighting gutshots less), about 25 ways or so you are ahead. i think checking prevents check-raises/gets you to showdown cheaper.

(3 outs x hitting 2) / 40 cards = 15 %

(40 cards because 12 are dealt, 52 - 12 = 40)

hey all, first time to post in the Brew... mainly cause i play 5NL and 10NL so none of my graphs are very balla. However wanted to share this sick session from tonight. I mainly play for fun but have been a 10ptbb winner over about 50K hands. I never get to play on the weekends cause i'm normally out of town, but tonight i was home for the first time in awhile. Thought i'd sit down and get a piece of the weekend action on stars. Then this horrendous session transpired. I thought about quitting in the middle but figured i HAD to start running better eventually. Without further ado...

yah i know the stakes are LOL but regardless this was bad.

good luck all.

This was very villain specific. I had never seen him slowplay anything before, and he usually has an underpair/flush or straight draw here.
