Default Live 3/6 AA UTG

Brag: AA UTG
Brag: Flop Trip A
Brag: Turn Quad A
Beat: MP1 Rivers the 10[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] to make his Royal Flush
Bigger Beat: The Pot in Milwaukee doesn't have a bad beat jackpot

Anybody know the odds of this happening?

Sadly, it did. I hit the trips on the flop and bet and got 2 callers. The turn hit the next A and I checked hoping to look worried and was annoyed when it was checked though. On the river I bet out and was called by EP1 and raised by MP2. I made it 3 bets. EP1 called and MP2 capped it. I was thinking..."no way...no...it can't happen...". I called and he very calmly said "Royal". ARGH!.

It was the first time a bad beat got to me and I ended up donking off like $50 more before I realized I was playing bad and ended up leaving early.

Beat: 3/6 live is equivalent of 0.05/0.1 online - never check your strong hands, you'll get plenty of callers if you bet.

Oh, I fully understand I played it wrong. I've only been playing since Mar and only live. I knew as soon as I checked the quads it was a dumb move.

Yeah, I know that 3/6 isn't a lot of cash for the high rollers here. But I work for a living and just want a hobby that will not cost much over the long run.

Oh well. At least I have a good "beat" story now.
