You must have known the 500 bet was effectively putting him all in, so why not just do it?

And if you were aware he was shoving or folding you must already have your response ready ... a fold here would be very weak

Yeah what they said, turn bet is bad, either bet less or push, and I'd push every time. Of course you can't fold here given these odds.

bad question, my bad, but I did learn something: check villains stack size before betting turn! (does it show that I just transferred from limit HE?)

Yeah it's extremely important to be aware of everyone's stack sizes before making any play. Very often stack sizes will be the factor that determine how you play a hand, or whether you make a move, etc.

Yeah, I read HoH, but I don't always realise early in a tournament that by betting the pot on both flop and turn, I commit villain and or myself.
