Latest version of AVG says AutoHotkeySC.bin in the AutoHotkey\Compiler\ directory is a Trojan horse Generic4.IRO. Can anyone vouch for this file? Maybe someone using AHK can submit the file here for comprehensive scanning:
http://www.virustotal.com/en/indexf.html Unfortunately, my scanner deleted the file. |

Hi. Haven't tested it myself but it is probably because AutoHotkey needs to monitor the keystrokes on your computer.
Therefore AVG thinks it is a keylogger or smth like that. That is the probable cause. But you can also check if the MD5 hash of your AutoHotkeySC.bin matches with my AutoHotkeySC.bin file. MD5 checksum: 317FE913E850DEC047C900E63DCD582A |

Different md5 checksum. Again, the one that was flagged got deleted. This was from a different computer but it still gets flagged by AVG and a few others.

Found a thread on AutoHotkey.com that talked about other people getting the same false positive. http://www.autohotkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17163
They were getting the false positive on v1.0.46.08, and said updating to the newest version corrected the issue. You can update to v1.0.47 here, and see if that AVG feel better. |
