Default River line...

Lost hand history, but I'll try to make this look decent.

100NL online

I raise to $3.50 with 88 UTG+1
Villain calls on the button.

Flop: [K K 2] rainbow

I bet $6, villain calls.

Turn: [K K 2][K]

I bet $16, villain calls.

River: [K K 2 K][4]

Pot is $50, villain has approx $75 behind and I cover.

He'd only been playing a couple of orbits. He seemed kinda loose-passive but I didn't have any substantial reads to work with.

Bumpage? Nobody likes my posts....

$75? $30/f? C/c? C/f? Anyone wanna guess against a random unknown possibly loose-passive villain?

I think checking river is fine and calling if he bets. I would think if he has 99+ he would repop you pre but you never know. Sometimes you have to go with your instinct here and play poker. It sounds like villain has a decent hand and maybe he could have Ax and think its good.

At the time I felt he'd stack with 55-77, but in later hands he always folded to my river shoves (both bluff and value) after calling 3/4 psbs on the flop and turn.

I'm still undecided. I make a lot of semi-thin value shoves and bluff shoves on the river, but I still only get called by the nuts somehow. Ah well. I guess some people just play their cards or something.

I value stack myself all the time. I don't really think it's *that* big of a leak TBH.

In this spot I think I would c/c against an unknown though. Unless you have a read that villain is a downie, most people aren't calling w/ A-high.
