[censored]. god it's so f'n dreary at that latitude though [/ QUOTE ] I actually really like the weather there (been there twice), but living expenses there are pretty rediculous. I don't know the whole spectrum of costs, but I know property and gas are rediculous. |

Re: How much are you paying in taxes?
[ QUOTE ]
Very little (not sure how much though)...I was a student last year and only learned to play September 2004 so my poker income last year is only like 12k and 4k CDN from a research assistant job. This year poker will probably be close to 100k though. I'm saving up a few grand a month now just for taxes. Damn you, Uncle Sam. [/ QUOTE ] you should start making quarterly estimated payments if you don't want to pay late fees come April 2007 |

Re: How much are you paying in taxes?
No taxes here in Sweden =] (atleast if you play on the right sites, if you don't you pay taxes for all your winnings but can't discount your losses, so that basically sucks)

Re: How much are you paying in taxes?
No taxes on poker winnings in Norway (as long as single pots or tournament winnings don't exceed $1500, and I don't play tournaments or $10,000/$20,000). Norway rules in this regard.
Had I held a normal job, though, 60-70% of my money would go to the government. |
