AT. my small flop bet just got checkraised. top pair.
2/5 NL. my first time at the bellagio. full table. no reads. SB has been talking on his phone for most of the last orbit.
2. MP Hero ($170) too short. i know. 7. SB ($500) 8. BB ($200) Preflop: Hero is MP with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3 folds, Hero raises to $15, 4 folds, SB calls $13, BB calls $10. Flop: ($45) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $15, SB raises to $100, BB calls $100, Hero? i have $55 left if i just call. does my continuation bet look too weak/obvious? i can see a tricky SB doing this with any piece of that flop. i don't think i'm outkicked. AK and AQ just reraise preflop. BB just looked confused. i think he called because he's short stacked and i look so damm weak. the table was going to run him over real soon. he probably has a pair of anythings. i hate my kicker, so maybe i should have just taken the free card. oh well. i'm looking at a $260 pot and i have top pair. what do you do? |

Re: AT. my small flop bet just got checkraised. top pair.
ask urself WTF you beat man.
after u do that, then u'll realize that this hand is easy. also betting 15 into a 45 pot makes no sense ever (even if ur trying to price urself in fer a flush draw, i still think it's dumb b/c u want ur draws to look like ur strong hands, etc). so ya, ask urself, "Why the F am i betting 1/3 of the pot?" |

you're both right. it's a vicious circle. i bet small because i'm short stacked, yet i want to push for the same reason. dammit!

Re: AT. my small flop bet just got checkraised. top pair.
buying in full or not has nothing to do with the hand. but short stack should just go all-in on this flop (last threat opportunity)

Re: AT. my small flop bet just got checkraised. top pair.
You beat nothing, fold the flop. In addition, as stated above, don't bet 1/3 of the pot on the flop, you are creating too many difficult decisions for yourself later in the hand. You clearly cannot call and leave yourself $55.
