and add that the actor who played Lucius Vorenus did a sick job as well.

I think the actor that played Octavian in season 1 was outstanding, which was the main reason I didn't enjoy season 2 as much as the first.

I thought he did a an excellent job as well. Which is why I was that they couldn't give this show 4-6 seasons letting him possibly grow into the role instead of being replaced so quickly.

One of the things I loved about S1 of this show (and Carnivale) is you knew where the story was ultimately headed. It created a sense of anticipation as you watched the events unfold.

HBO is amazing in their ability to consistently put out good shows.

i think HBO only had planned 2 seasons...budget was too large. The actor who played Caesar was great...haven't seen season 2. Disappointed it doesn't measure up with season 1.

i'm pretty sure i read that they didn't do another season more so for the fact that many people didn't receive it well in england and being as it was a BBC show they decided to can it especially because the budget was so large that it was more worth it to dump it then go with it...most people complained that it was to inaccurate and were hoping for something different, or something like that i read the article a while ago while i was in london

Just searched didnt find any topic about the Rome series.

There were plenty of threads about Rome.

As for the series, it is done after two seasons. Season one was all very good. Some lesser spots in season two, but I thought the end of season 2 was good.

Rome s.2 was really good at points, but a little too much compression, and I really missed Caesar.

Ditto. Watching Antony rise into power and then fall was fantastic. I didn't like the way they wrapped up Octavian and Pullo the last two episodes and the Antony/Octavian resolution was a little too rushed, but for the most part, I enjoyed Season 2 just as much as Season 1.
