This is fine. I like the raise on the flop to try to get some money in the pot now. A fourth club on the turn will probably kill your action. You could raise a little smaller to keep him around. Maybe raise to $4? There's not too many hands that can call your raise - AA, AK (unlikely), KK (unlikely), and maybe something like KQ (w/Q clubs). Everybody else should go away. So I doubt you'll make much $$ on this hand but I think you played it OK.

(You could also consider re-raising preflop on the button, but a call is OK).

calling would not be a "float", it would be a "slow play"
