Re: The interesting hands I played at the WSOP
Hand 2, this is a fold unless you make some kind of read that tells you he missed a flush draw. But not a lot of players mini-raise the turn on a draw. I fold this 90% of the time without a good read that he maybe bluffing
Hand 3 is a very easy fold. Wait for a better spot. If the kid does it again then I might consider it. But against an unknown, fold. Hand 4, continuation bet the flop. Given that you check, bet more on the turn (1100). River is read dependent, but I lean towards folding. Hand 5, If you call the turn, I lead the river for 3-4K regardless of what it is, fold to a raise. |

Re: The interesting hands I played at the WSOP
fold fold fold call minraise (or call). Minraising makes it easier to play cuz u'll probably take it down vs his 72o but it probably isnt as profitable as calling then calling his bluff on the river. But if hes not bluffing you lose a much bigger pot. If raised fold, if called check river then probably fold to a bet.
i think u played them all fine up to the last decision points. That 4th hand I'd call just cuz he played it so strangely. |

Re: The interesting hands I played at the WSOP
Everyone except PhatPots has advocated calling hand 4. The only hand I can put him on playing that passively is a draw, and whatever that draw was, he hit it on the river as evidenced by his push. The 7d completes both the str and flush draw. I'd have bet 1200 or so on the turn with that board to find out where I'm at and or chase out the draws.

Re: The interesting hands I played at the WSOP
young aggressive players dont play draws that passively and can certainly bet to represent hitting one draw while they actually missed another

Re: The interesting hands I played at the WSOP
[ QUOTE ]
Do not fold that hand to Ram please. I'm pretty sure he's crazy and he can only have a ten, probably nothing else. I strongly suspect he raises with an ace and never bets a king on the turn. He also knows you might have a king and figures you may fold. He probably has something like 85o. I would call and likely call the river, but ok I don't know him that well. [/ QUOTE ] btw when I said he raises an ace, I meant preflop of course. The same goes for QJ the large majority of the time. He could easily have something like 82o and was planning to shut down on the turn when the ace came, and gave him what he felt was a good bluffing oppurtunity. Of course he could also just have a ten |

[ QUOTE ] 1. $2500 NL - blinds 25/50, i have 5kish, villian covers Older English guy raises to 150, i call in the SB with AKo, BB calls. Flop AQ9 two clubs, i lead 325, fold, english guy calls. Turn 2o, i check call 950. River 5c, i check, he bets 2050. [/ QUOTE ] You didn't give us the PF raisers position. Too important a factor to even bother discussing this hand IMO. [/ QUOTE ] eh, middle position hand 2 the guy limps in middle position too |

Re: The interesting hands I played at the WSOP
Hand 1
I probably c/c the flop once I bet I definetely bet the turn. Once you get to the river its a pretty easy fold. The only way you're ever good is if hes turning some sort of made hand into a bluff or has a bare JT. Hand 2 I think you played it fine now fold the river your like never good here. Hand 3 You cover him? I probably call. Hand 4 Call pretty quickly I can't imagine him playing a flush draw like this. Hand 5 I like how you played it now I'd call again. |

Re: The interesting hands I played at the WSOP
Hand 1: I 3bet pf. As played, I think any ace bets the river so I call
Hand 2: wp. now fold Hand 3: I think this is an easy fold. Does he really do this with a worst hand?? I don't think so Hand 4: I think you have to call this river. Why no bet on the flop? Hand 5: I fold but don't know why. |
