Default PS60 L3 folding 88 to a button raise

Unknown button, but he was a total nit (5/5, 42 hands). Am I a bigger nit?

The sample is small, but I think a fold is fine. A call for set value wouldn't be horrible either if you're feeling frisky.

I call 100 for set value.

EDIT: I wouldn't call 150, but since you're in the big blind you have to win another 600 for this to be a break even play, if my math is right, if you had to call 150 then you would have to win 900 which might be hard to do and I don't like calling off 10% of my stack.

Yes! I agree that calling for set value is probably the best plan here.

I'm calling here, "play some poker"

Small sample + early levels + stealing position. Call to flop a set, or take it down with your superior post flop skills

haha, i am a bigger nit postflop. i'd get it in on a 765 or 976 flop but other than that i'm gonna be lost on the flop. i guess i would lead a Jxx flop or Qxx but other than that i probably just check/fold. i think this guy is tight enough that if he has AK on a Jxx flop he would fold to a flop lead.

Calling for set value here sucks. I would never fold preflop though.
