poker players, specifically young online ones, are conservative and closed-minded.

based on my experience, i'd say this is pretty much the opposite of right (aka wrong). but congratulations for finding one example

i agree, don't be 'nieve'

seriously though, i think there are alot less PC comments in forums in general because it is easy to get away with.
i doubt most 2+2 ers are that different from other people.

OP - koolcatkass is an idiot. an SNG hack who's DEFINATELY not a pro.

secondly i think that blog was a joke in response to the outlash from another blog of his where everyone got mad at something else he said. with that said i think its the dumbest joke ever. and if its not a joke then he is the most worthless person ive ever heard of.

either way this guy is such a joke that i cant believe youd consider that he could represent how thousands of other people think/behave.

see the irony?

Congrats on being liberal and open minded. You have managed to take this guy's blog and characterize millions of poker players as racists.
Oops, that sounds a little closed minded...

I'm not sure it's "conservative and close-minded," rather many (not most, but many) of the 18-25 yr-old internet hot shots are just a-holes.

Generalizing more, a bunch of decently educated, quite possibly socially stunted, upper-middle class white kids who have a (relative) lot of money and some degree of success, without really "working" (in the traditional sense) at it, and it's completely unsurprising that a certain segment are self-absorbed and unbelievably narcissistic and arrogant.

For some, this manifests itself as the quoted bit of Tancredo-ism, for others, well you can hear them yelling "Ship it, Holla" from time to time...

I thought I made it obvious that I wasn't taking one person's opinion and characterizing the entire online community. I had just seemed to run across a similiar mentality several times and used this as one example.

Also, I don't understand the rudeness of some of the comments. The point of the post is simply to see what other people think of the subject in an open forum.

I like the way you assume conservative = closed-minded. Nice one, idiot.
