I dont like your river bet because you only have about 1/2 pot bet left. With 3/4 pot bet left it looks ok.

[/ QUOTE ]

Alright, sounds good. So you're saying that most people would probably call this bet for these odds?

[ QUOTE ]
BB "never" has a set or AK/AQ here.

[/ QUOTE ]

Not sure what you mean. BB did indeed have a set here... are you saying BB won't call in this spot wihout the flush or straight?

New Scenario:
his turn play was horrible....if he c/r allin on the turn would you have auto called??....a lot of reasons from ur reads on him and with his big pf raise if i had 44 i could find many reasons fold here.....i would call anyways...but u know

[/ QUOTE ]

I would have called fairly quickly, he could easily have AK/AQ here with those stats, and he would never put me on AA-QQ. Even if he could only have AK here, there are 9 combos of AK out therem and 9 combos of higher sets out there. Folding a set on the turn would be generally bad.

Then you definitely should have raised the flop.

Remember I'm the villian here. If I raise the flop does AQ, QQ-TT call me? I figure AK, AA-KK would bet it all in there, but that all other hands would fold. Playing these WA/WB situations has gotten me in trouble before, especially when opponents catch over sets like this.

Yeah, I know. "Hero" never had a chance to raise the flop.

QQ-TT, obviously not, but they're not gonna give you any more action, either.

AQ, maybe.

Assuming AK/KK/AA are all equally likely...

AK: 9 combos
AA: 3 combos
KK: 3 combos

Whoops, should have read the thread.

Anyway, Villain should have re-raised on the flop. Any Q, 10, J, or K makes this hand messy. I almost say I'd rather know where I am on this flop than see that next overcard.

I mean that the BB "never" has a set ak/aq here when they check call turn. Most players would push after your bet.

Stop minimum raising preflop with these small to medium pairs. Every fish does that and every good player knows exactly what you have when you do it.

Im not calling you a fish, but thats is a fish play.

Heh, I didn't minraise preflop with the pair, I called a raise, then called a minraise.

Thanks for the help everyone. I'll just reraise the flop and be done with it. You are right Big Jim I don't think that QQ-TT would give me a shred more action anyway, and I should just push/raise that flop up.

On another note, I don't thnk I'll post a hand from villian's perspective again. It just seems to cause too much confusion.
