Default Turn play AKs - pretty sure I\'m getting run over

I don't have enough hands on any of these dudes to have any meaningful read, but villain is like 20/16 over 25 hands so probably not a complete goon.

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.10/$0.25
6 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $20.60
UTG+1: $6.20
Hero: $27.25
Button: $11.95
SB: $32.25
BB: $24.65

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is CO with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
2 folds, Hero raises to $1, Button calls, SB folds, BB calls.

Flop: ($3.1) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $3, Button folds, BB calls.

Turn: ($9.1) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $6, BB raises to $12, Hero folds.
Uncalled bets: $6 returned to BB.

Results:
Final pot: $21.1

should I have checked the turn behind or called this?

I bet $2.50 flop but small detail

I'd probably fold the first time and put a note

I pot that turn, if he shoves it's $11 for you to call into a pot of $38, and I like those odds.

You have to bet the turn, imo. This board is super drawy and he could still be fishing with JT/ any two diamonds/T9/ AJ etc. You have to bet the turn.

I probably call the turn, honestly. I know the baluga theroem says to fold this, but it's only 6 dollars and the pot will be 33 on the river, with hero in position. I don't think a call is that bad, although it sets you up for a difficult river decision.

I guess the main reason I ask is because it seems like if I'm willing to fold this all the time then I will get run over big time, but I suppose I can adjust if it becomes a habit.

How is the turn bet size? drawy board, but I'm in position, etc.

does that outweigh the times he calls a smaller bet with a worse hand (which he'd presumably fold to the PSB)

Bet more on turn, like $7. Call the minraise, and he'll pot the river if he has you. Too many draws to fold this.

Don't worry about that - you have a made hand on a draw heavy board, and you're usually going to have good equity on that turn. And chances are if he's calling $6, he's probably calling $9.

I suppose betting more would make him less likely to C/R with air because it's more expensive the times I punish him for it.

I was definitely thinking as I bet "here comes the CR"

Haven`t read the answers so far. Really weird spot. Looks like a slowplayed set to me regardless of the 2 diamonds on the board. I usualy fold here.
