Looks perfect to me. You have to call a shove too, since you'd be getting 3.3:1 or so if he shoves and the only hand you're more than a 3:1 dog against is JJ (you're 3:1 against AA/KK/QQ/AJ). It's also totally possible he could be bluff shoving to move you off AK.

What if he calls the flop bet and the turn blanks? Is it a check/fold?

depending on the turn bet but i feel the real mistake was preflop being so big.

well there was 2 other callers after the raise so i dont see why the preflop raise is too big. What would you make it? Putting 50BBs and then folding is not a bad move, you are saving your money.
