For those questiong the river if you are folding 99 are you folding AK Ax etc Kx.

[/ QUOTE ]

i would call river, and feel really ownd when he shows me A5cc

[/ QUOTE ]

Exactly.

Corkins needs to be thinking like 2 levels below, or 2 levels above, where the majority of people here think he is -- which is not a particularly high level -- for his play to be sick good.

[/ QUOTE ]

he thinks highly I am sure of that but I don't think he realized on the level I think yet.

fold river, call river with AT and better, i would make a smallish raise on the flop and insta call a shove, OR bet the turn and call a shove.

anyone saying to raise the flop and fold to a shove is wrong, anyone saying to fold the flop is a nit and spewing EV with thier nittiness, END THREAD

[/ QUOTE ]

A10 or better? how is A10 any different from A2/A4 here etc.

i raise and call a shove, this is an awesome flop for us

[/ QUOTE ]

sure it is, but short of some super read that like, Hoyt = me or something, this is just too much.

i agree if the flop was like KJ2cc, and Hoyt was not UTG, this would be a super hot raise/call though

[/ QUOTE ]

i just cant imagine him 3 bet shoving a made hand here, maybe AA or AK, but he shoves a ton of draws. if he calls the raise then the turn kind of sucks because we should be able to get him off a K with a shove, but he can def make a hero call so i give up unless i hit a 9 if he calls the raise.

although i probably play it the same way as shaun, maybe limp pre if i really want to make sure i dont start a big pot with hoyt, makes the hand much easier, but against aggressive guys like hoyt im sticking with my hand or wasting as few chips as possible

with being this deep i really think its pretty weak limpin pre with hands like 99's shorthanded in position.

do people really belive that hes gonna mess with the other chip leader at the table is some kind of massive 350k pot with blinds 1/2k !!

For me his range is off board pairs and a-x's. he check through on the turn so i dont belive he has a draw. The river bet by a good 6-max player is 100% of the time. so call.

I ran some of my own pseudo-math on the river and I think it's a fold now, but it is pretty close.

I've already told you this before, but FOLLLDDDD. It's a [censored] spot, if he's a smart player he's going to fire any turn(except maybe if he fills up or hits a flush), so you can't call his bet on flop unless you like drawing to 1 outers. And you can't raise unless you're willing to call a 3 bet which I don't think you should be, so just fold.
