Default 100NL, tough river spot

Been a long time since I posted a hand... This one was a toughy

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $155.05
BB: $100.00
UTG: $92.00
Hero (CO): $142.50
BTN: $96.50

Preflop: Hero is dealt Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 Players)
UTG folds, <font color="red">Hero raises to $4.00</font>, BTN folds, SB calls $3.50, BB folds

Flop: ($9) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB checks, <font color="red">Hero bets $6.00</font>, SB calls $6.00

Turn: ($21) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero checks

River: ($21) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
<font color="red">SB bets $12.00</font>, <font color="red">Hero raises to $50.00</font>, <font color="red">SB raises all-in to $145.05</font>

thoughts on all streets (i.e. river) appreciated

thanks,
darnold

Pretty impossible to give an answer without any reads. I also bet the turn

I was 8 tabling on my laptop (w/o pokerace) so I really had no reads... What size bet do you make on the turn, and if you bet that turn I'm guessing you fold to any raise?

I guess my main question with the hand is the bet size on the river, I so rarely find myself raising the river with a lot of money left behind (especially w/o the nuts), and this time it really [censored] me. But I don't feel like I can really flat call the river

Bet turn. Call river because you will see KQ or even QJ often enough. The flop action doesn't make a lot of sense for any set, so you only lose to straights.
