Re: 10/20 400+bb Deep with KK
When he flat called 4 bets pre with ak, what did you have?
If you showed up with aa kk, I would be more inclined to fold this hand. If you showed up with qq or less then i would call. Other than that, this is a really tough situation and i would just flip a coin and let that make the decision for you. |

Hotmark, I also had AK. I 4-bet him preflop OOP, he called, and we flopped an ace and got all-in, and chopped. I thought him calling the 4bet for 35bb unusual with AK at the time.

Re: 10/20 400+bb Deep with KK
As i said having that in mind i would be more inclined to call, although that min reraise really smells like aces. But as another poster said there is a lot of money in the pot, and you have the second nuts. Its really a tough spot but i would at the end say call (all in)
I dont know how big a donkey SB was, but the way he played the hand i think it is safe to assume he has ak or aq. I cant imagine even the bigger donks these days calling their chips off (200bb's) at high stakes with anything less (poosibly tt or 99 also) That information can make t easier to push given that it is that much less likely that villain has aa, although at the end it can still happen. |

[ QUOTE ] Is villain calling with QQ or AK? If so, that makes the push a lot easier. [/ QUOTE ] One previous hand we had I raise, he reraise, I 4-bet and he called with AK. That's the only time we had gone to 4-bets. But that was with 100bb effective stacks. I am very sure that if I shove, villain will not call with AK or QQ. However, I dont think villain would 5-bet with those hands either this deep. [/ QUOTE ] Of course he will call for 4000 more into a 12k pot w/ QQ here... he makes it 4300 you make it 8500 all in and he folds anything decent? huh? |

Re: 10/20 400+bb Deep with KK
Ansky, my feeling at the time was that *if* he was 5-betting with QQ/AK it was likely for information or to isolate the donk... and to fold if I shoved as I would in his eyes have AA/KK. Of course if I have AA/KK he doesnt have odds to call.

Re: 10/20 400+bb Deep with KK
he will be getting roughly 15k-4k or so, right?--- you can't honestly beleive a good player will stick over 200 bbs in preflop w/ QQ for "information," and then fold.

Re: 10/20 400+bb Deep with KK
I keep thinking with card removal you should shove since I would think the fish has an ace making AA less likely than QQ, and I think his line is consistent with both. The fish though could be way out of line so who knows. It is a really tricky spot, especially if the small blind would fold QQ to a shove.
