^^plz fyc, don't mention that last pitch...

with beltran, this has to be mental and not this stupid [censored] with his quads or whatever, i don't buy that...

when he's on, he's way better than reyes and everyone else on that team IMO...i just don't see why he struggles mentally at the plate so much...bad reads, sometimes too aggressive and sometimes too passive...

hhmm...this was a thread about the orioles...now we're on the mets...

I thought this was one of the best one's in a while from the dugout.

My favorite part:

SamPer_Fi: Okay, he'll be fine. He's batting negative .007 with runners in scoring position. Plus, he's in the minor leagues, so he'll have to drive here, and that will give us a long time out.

MisterCrowley: so you're saying that for every 1,000 at bats, Eider Torres gets zero hits and gives up seven hits for the other team?

I think it was a mistake to dump him...while he was messing things up, in the end the ownership in Baltimore is horrible and killing them

what about mazzone?

[/ QUOTE ]

I have a feeling (just a feeling, no evidence to support this) that he doesn't have the desire to be a manager.

I don't see why he would want to make that move, considering he has a great gig as the best pitching coach of all time.

^^jesus bob, this losing streak is affecting u 10x worse than the rest of us...

Oh I've been complaining about the bunting nonsense all year. I've been complaining about Tom Terrible since 2003

Bob I am a die-hard Met fan too. I just can't watch Beltran in another big spot again. He is so clutch throughout the season but so miserably horrible (is that englishy good?) in big spots. He strikes out and mis-reads first pitch fastballs a ton. I still am harping over that fastball right down the heart of the plate to end the NLCS.

your a diehard mets fan but dont even know that the pitch beltran struck out on in the lcs wasnt a fastball?

Wikipedia says Sewell managed only two teams: the St. Louis Browns and the Cincinnati Reds.
