Sports betting comps in Vegas
Didn't get a response on this. Do you recieve any sports comps with wagering in Vegas? Drink tickets , food? Do you show your card? Are there comps, and what are they?
Thanks, Kirk |

[/ QUOTE ] Here's a quote from youtalkfunny: "The Man in the Red Shirt would come in every day during baseball season. He'd bet the Yankees to win $100, the Braves to win $100, and he'd ask for a buffet comp. He wore the same, stinky red shirt all summer long." So apparently such comps exist. |

That's an expensive price to pay for a buffet.

Re: Sports betting comps in Vegas
kirk: it's been my experience that when you wager $100 they give you 2 drink tickets. I usually don't put down more than 2-3 bets and have never considered asking for a buffet comp, as my 6 drinks are enough. They don't swipe your players card

[/ QUOTE ] A comp to the IP buffet cost about $4.95 back then. I imagine that is no longer the case. Also, the Man in the Red Shirt was laying -200 or more on all his bets, so the $400-500 total bets looked more impressive than it really was (which made us less inclined to argue about giving him a buffet comp). |

Re: Sports betting comps in Vegas
So just came back. And there are not alot of comps. But if you leave $1 with your wagers as you pl;ace them, they will usually give a bunch of free drink tickets. These are usually only good at the adjacent bar near the sportsbook. I was wagering in $50 and $100 increments. But my buddy bet $10 wagers and still got drink tix.
Also at the Rio if you bet and show your card they track sports wagers, but you need to bet alot. For a $10 comp you have to wager $800 on horses or $50 000 on sports wagers. Hope this helps. Kirk |

Re: Sports betting comps in Vegas
You're only going to get comps at a Harrah's sportsbook if you are a loser, go in there and try to put more than $300 on a dog or a 1st half and they will give you the full treatment.
