online airfare sites

Looking to buy a ticket in the near future (like later tonight.) are any of these online travel sites better than others?

I usually hit up the well known ones...travelocity, orbitz, etc. is it worth my time to check individual airline sites?

travelaxe.com searches the travel-search sites for you.

If you are looking at low fare carriers like Southwest, then check their individual web sites. I have used Side Step and Travel Axe in the past as well as the sites you mentioned.

does travelaxe do more than hotel fare searches>? those are all that seem to come up when i go there.
