Re: Right Preflop No. for 6max tables
Seriously, I feel like an enormous LAG somedays, and I'm 27-28/20-21, I have no idea what other hands you guys are adding...

The current correct stats are 34/23.2 [/ QUOTE ] Those are clearly wrong Sharpie. The one and only optimal preflop strategy is 32.2/23.9. Its not up for debate |

[/ QUOTE ] I just filtered for exactly 6 players and I'm at 22.3/15 and without filtering I'm only at 26VPIP. And often when I post I get a "Well I don't open raise w XY in MP, but anyway..." |

Re: Right Preflop No. for 6max tables
I think people quoting exact optimal pre-flop numbers are wrong.
The range of "marginal" pre-flop hands that make the difference between 24/17, 30/20, 33/23 is pretty huge. The difference in EV between the best of these hands and the worst is very small. First of all, a lot of pro's who look at their enormous sample sizes and verify which hands are profitble and which a not... are too small sample sizes. Even with 300k+ hands, how many times are you calling a raise out of the big blind with 69s? If it truly is marginal you probabily need 50,000+ hands in this situation to check if its profitble or not. Huge databses probabily have 50 at best. Small details can make the swing wheter these hands profitble or not. Things like increased rake, worse players in blinds, tight players in blinds and blind structure should have a very significant impact on your stats imo. Stop trying to strive for optimal statistics and look at each situation for itself. Just as an example, If the big blind and small blind both have VPIP of <20% my att steal % is going to be 75%+. If they are both loose/agro donks it will probabily be about 35%. |

Re: Right Preflop No. for 6max tables
I assumed sharpie and oink were joking as well,
alot of what people stats will come back as 30/20/2 vs 24/19 ect will come down to game/ table selection. As we all know what preflop strategy is correct will come down to how the rest of the table is playing. Somedays it may be correct to play > 30/20 some tables far less. I usually end up at about 24/20 or something in that range. what is QFT? i think ive asked before but need a reminder |
