I think betting here is bad, precisely because there are a ton of hands in his range that just hit a straight. If he has 2pr here he's going to c/r the flop everytime I would think. Check the turn, and maybe call a river bet. If he checks river than you have an easy value bet.

Check turn

I think this is pretty weak and missing a lot of value from KQ, KJ, QJ, AQ, maybe even AK.

I don't think those type of hands call a lot on the turn. If you check, they'll maybe bet as a bluff or they'll c/c your bet. And you have outs to hit a boat on the river and stack off a T

I think you are severely overestimating the hand-reading abilities of a 38/5

Strongly disagree. The reason I bet this turn is because I have basically the second nuts. I'm in the habit of valuebetting players like this to death, a T is the only card I don't want to see here and I have 11 outs against even that. I think the people screaming bloody murder at the turn bet are being a little results oriented, I agree a check is probably better given I'm probably only getting 2 streets of value out of his two pair hands but it's closer than people are making it out to be IMHO.

-These hands almost always check-raise on the flop.
-Since you bet and got shoved on, which the aforementioned hands wouldn't do, you need to fold.

I check the turn almost always. I think most of the KQ, KJ hands would fold on the turn, but call a river bet. Plus if he has a T and you fill, he'll bet-call it almost always.

I really don't see him pushing that turn card without the straight. To raise two pair there is pretty silly. I don't worry about getting value from worse hands on the turn there. I think if he checks behind and the river bricks I can go to valuetown on the river. Rarely do you get two streets of value with a one card straight out there.
