Re: NL100 - Flopped Set, River Bet on 4-straight board???
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I bet ~$35, mostly as a blocking bet. I was afraid that if I checked he would make a bigger bet that I couldn't call, and I didn't think with his AF that he would come over the top without a Jack. [/ QUOTE ] That's what I would've done. Hope it turned out well for you. [/ QUOTE ] He called, I won, but I don't remember what he had (KQ maybe?). |

Re: NL100 - Flopped Set, River Bet on 4-straight board???
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] reads? If not this is a check/call for me alot here. [/ QUOTE ] c/c-ing isnt great. he's not going to be betting a Q, he's not going to be betting many 2pairs, etc. its either a b/f or c/f imo. i dont like c/c-ing unless opponent is smart enough to use it as a scare card. [/ QUOTE ] Good advice, bet this for value. I think it can be a blocking bet here as well though, because if he was smart enough to use the scare card we shut out that possiblity and get value out of our set. |
