you can't say that it's an easy fold w/ AJ and that he never has air, because if you'll fold as hand as strong as AJ here then making plays with air becomes EXTREMELY profitable, obviously.

now i think his raise size tells us he has either a draw or a hand. but i'm leaning towards draw- something he wouldn't mind taking down now. a much smaller raise would have worked as bluff just as well, IMO, and the chances that he makes such a huge raise on a bluff here is pretty low i think.

Agreed 100%. Although I think the majority of 2p2ers would fold AJ to a raise here in this multiway pot, and a bluff here I think is definitely profitable, but I don't think most people would just raise here with air regardless.

AP,

I'm c/r A high flops a lot versus good players (like almost always) because they need AQ or AK a lot of the time to continue and can convince themselves to fold those from time to time, too. With any other A is a simple fold for a decent player.

Whether a bluff here is profitable or not depends a lot on MP and BB's preflop range.

Calling in this spot is idiotic. Your either pushing or folding (assuming villan will keep the pressure). Raising air is horrible here IMO. There are probably 7-8 hands that will continue to a nice raise, but HERO has over repped his hand here by betting into a large field. My main point is that 200NL is pretty easy and there is honestly no reason to try and "outplay" people; it's just spew bc nobody ever folds at 200

I don't understand what's wrong with calling, and getting it in on non spade turns. This was my gut instinct when I saw the hand, closely ahead of folding, and wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy ahead of pushing. A push gets called by his entire range, which we're [censored] by. After this flop range (maybe it's cuz I talk with him offline), I feel he won't be checking turn behind often. Calling and check/calling non spade turns seems g00t.

I think he is more likely to have you beaten/flipping then have nothing. The reason being there are 2 people behind him. If you were UTG and bet, 2 people folded then he raised I think his range is a little wider, but I don't like the idea of putting more money in this pot as played.
