Default NL25: KK common situation

just sat down like 4-5hands ago so no reads or stats.
His line is just so obvious aces but at NL25 i think ive seen people do this with Queens and whatnot. Is this standard for this level? Should i have considered folding to the shove?

Raise/call preflop is mostly big PPs but not necessarily Aces, since a pretty big percentage of Aces will 4-bet preflop. So you're up against 6 combos of JJ, 6 of QQ, 1 of KK and maybe 3 of AA. Plus, he could have an optimistic AQ/AK, probably suited. When he raises the flop, his range reduces to 3 JJs, 6 QQs, 1 KK, 3 AAs, and let's add one A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]X[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] That's seven combos you beat, one that you split with, and six that beat you.

I think with the money already in the pot you have to put in your whole stack. There are times and situations where you can lay down Kings, but this is not one of them. If he had Aces, well, bad luck, make a note.
