SNG situation: Is this ethical?
Interesting situation in a $30+3 SNG on FullTilt.
Down to 4-handed I have about 9000 of the 13500 in play and a short stacked player directly to my left has disconnected. Since I know both players do not want to bubble I proceed to steal every blind and ante in sight while folding in the SB (the disconnected's BB) to keep him alive to continue my edge. This obviously upset the other two and one even made a stand with A2 when I had AQ and bubbled! Needless to say I cruised to a victory. Now was this strategy ethical givn the situation? Or was I in the wrong? |

Re: SNG situation: Is this ethical?
You did what you were supposed to, they didn't have to let you fold your SB.

It was so unethical it is disgusting. You should have tried to maximize the other player's equity instead of your own.

Re: SNG situation: Is this ethical?
Do that at every chance you get. I was in the same situation and the guy who had only a few chips more than the disconnect guy folded JJ right at the end preflop. It's a blessing.

If this is unethical, then bluffing is unethical too.
