I LOL'd at this:

Have you ever felt embarrassed listening to one-hit wonders or pop gems of yesteryear? Fear not. Your favorite Indie superstars are giving the OK by joining in together for "Guilt By Association"

[/ QUOTE ]
Thanks! I was gonna feel lame listening to Journey, but now that it's been indified it's OK!

Anyway, the Will Oldham one was alright, but I the other two didn't really do much for me.

Wow. I listened to the first one, it happens to be one of my top 10 favorite songs.

It started fairly well, a little different but still staying true to the original. I was liking it until it got to the speaking part, ZOMG WTF.

Most of the other songs don't interest me, but it would be interesting to see how they ruin the Shania song.

Seriously, the talking ruined it for me...and did they throw in some Wilson Phillips lyrics near the end?

Wow, way to kill a song. They're seriously covering a Fall Out Boy song? Will it at least be in english this time?

MC,

"I was liking it until it got to the speaking part, ZOMG WTF."

Ugh, totally agree. I was really digging the cover and then all of a sudden it was like "WAIT, WE ARE NOT BEING INDIE ENOUGH HERE, LEMME DO SOMETHING WEIRD!"

I am a big Petra Haden and Journey fan, so that was extra disappointing for me.

I did like the little Wilson Phillips line tossed in there.

Few comments:

covering fall out boy, WTF

And for spice girls and shania, why did they choose to cover those songs? Woulda been much better to hear the real staples like "feels like a woman" or "if you wanna be my lover" or something.

and diablo, respond to my PM
