flopped set on flush board
Villian is a 33/19/2 over 78 hands....i seem to always have trouble playing sets on these kind of boards (3 card straight boards as well) not knowing if i should re-pop the flop and try to get it in there
do you think i made a mistake just calling the flop and letting a scare card come off on turn, instead of just trying to get it in there? Re: flopped set on flush board
Raise flop, try to get it all in on the flop. As played the turn is close. I'd call and push river if I fill up.

Re: flopped set on flush board
Is there any merit to just calling the flop and shoving over a non-diamond on the turn? After all, he was betting pot into me. I actually put him on an A with a diamond kicker type hand.

I actually put him on an A with a diamond kicker type hand. [/ QUOTE ] Thats why you raise - if it's a good diamond kicker he will _never_ fold it. You really want your money in the middle in this spot and not give anyone a cheap chance to draw out on you. |
