tdk,

Eff the haters.

Also, I hope Ames hangs around if Tiger fades (LOL church pew shot coming up). It would be a nice bookend to the match play embarrassment from last year. Speaking of which and I've written this before, I went to this year's event in Tucson and followed Ames around for a few holes. He couldn't have been nicer or more engaging to the crowd despite being locked in a tight match.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't know - he seems a little flakey.

Ugh this coverage sucks. Geoff Ogilvy birdies 3 holes in a row playing with Tiger Woods and we don't see a single shot!
He's the defending champ for crissakes! He's only 4 over and still right in the tournament.

Much agreed. Defending champion deserves some tv time. Very annoying.

yeah i watch golf all the time. and just by looking at how he's playing, he won't win this major. the ones he's won, he looks like in total control. i've just stopped watching cuz' he's playing like [censored]..yes he's grinding out some pars with the occasional bogeys, but he's fading away. +4 now. he's so much better because he doesn't fade away as hard, but u really think +8 is going to win it?

[/ QUOTE ]

The 2005 Masters was definitely an exception to that, and +8 may have a chance.

Tiger didn't look great today, but saying he definitely won't win is pretty stupid imo. I don't think +8 will win, but I think it will definitely be top 5. If it does win I will be completely unsurprised.

Well he's not going to be charging on the weekend with birdies (he may have to just par out for a charge). I think Johnny Miller said something about the majors that Tiger has won he's never been outside the top 5 at the 36 hole mark. His performance kind of reminds me of the 2005 US Open at Pinehurst. He was definitely grinding hard but came up a bit short, leaving a lot of shots out on the golf course.

Thirty-five (35) golfers scored an 80 or higher on the scorecard in the 2nd Round.
