question for dealers
If the player to the left of the button is the SB in a full game, why is the same player the BB in a headsup game? I've noticed a couple headsup games in the casino lately, and the player on the button was the SB with the player on his left being the BB.

Re: question for dealers
Not really a dealer question -- it is a rules question. Robert's Rules says this is the case. I think it is -- in part -- a matter of fairness. Button has position the rest of the hand but has to decide first preflop. If non-button was SB heads up there would be far less incentive for any knowledgable player to play from the SB heads up.

Re: question for dealers
As the game gets smaller, the button gets closer to the big blind. When it finally smacks into it, it pushes the blinds each back a spot, the BB into the SB and the SB into the button. The ouroboros of poker.
