I like it vs an unremarkable player because he's not going to be thinking about how unbelievable it is that you have a strong hand here. He's usually just going to see strength on the river and fold a mid pair hand.

Also, I think a decent portion of his range is ace high hand that called the flop with the gutshot and overs, and bets now because he thinks he can represent a higher pair and doesn't really want to check/call a bet.
