I've seen a list of interest for 10/20, but I've never actually seen it go

all the limit games are super soft, no food in the poker room, small cups of free beer, ladies only run them out like every 30 min, real beat

I usually don't play on weekends, so it should be a little looser then. IMO the Trop 4/8 game plays like the 2/4 or 3/6 games in AC. Exception being the 3/6 at Borg during the week, that game tends to be a little tight/passive.
Average 4-6 per flop on weekdays. I'd say possibly 1 or 2 competitive players per table, with about 5 who have a clue at all. You'll still get high pairs cracked by K9o and the like.

This is definitely NOT true. You can order sandwiches and soup from the cocktail waitress. They have special rolling trays they serve them on, which are always getting in the way. You can pay with cash, chips, or comp ticket.

This definitely IS true. Go to Borgata or Hilton if you want to drink beer while you play.

Good--that's what I wanted to hear. I'll be comfortable if it's l/p or laggy, just not weak/tight. It would have been a bit of a shock when moving up since I'm not used to weak/tight games.

Thanks for the responses cmurl, Nick

cmerl summed it up nicely, altho i like that you can order food to the table but i agree the carts get in the way. vegetable noodle soup best $3 snack in the room. sandwhiches are eh. definitely go directly to the bar for quick drinks or if the waitress is mia.

poker rate is very good. recent sat. night only $139, but usually booked a few weeks in advance. friday $109 and weekdays $79-$89 over the summer. 4+ hours of play to qualify.

pink game and 1/2 nl the most popular. 1/2 is usually soft but sometimes half the table are regulars. 2/5 is similar.

i'd rather play at borgata but trop has its points too.

You can def eat at the tables there...that and the fact that they serve red bull are the 2 things it has over the Borg. As for the game quality, I cant speak for anything but 1/2 and 2/5 NL, but my experience is that they are pretty soft like most low nl casino games.

Where the Trop lacks and the Borg really excels is the overall ambiance in the room. Alot has to do with the dim lighting, but the Trop can kinda have a downie vibe sometimes (IMO).
