I have dish network for cable since its much cheaper than TW; you may not be able to get it in your building though.
I use TW for internet. They rip you off even more if you just get their internet on its own without the cable. its about $60 a month (i think its $40 if you get it with the cable), but that plus the dish bill is still smaller than what i would pay if i only used TW. |

I'm not sure if Optimum Online services the city, but if you can get it -- go for it (I'm on Long Island).
Their basic speed is 15mb/1.5mb at a pretty reasonable price. You can get upgraded to twice that BW for I think $10 a month extra (I never looked into it). Service has been outstanding for the last 6 years or so. Handful of minor outages but nothing to really complain about. Can't really expect 100% uptime, I think this is as close as it gets. http://www.optimum.com Btw you can get phone service with them too. It's a decent package I guess, if you get all 3. |
