Re: 6 Turbo SNG, FTP, playing a two big draws early vs a big pair
on second thought, i just looked it up on the card stats thingy.
turns out that even if villian has a set, you are still only a 2 to 1 dog to win the hand. that means that pushing all in is definitely the right play. like we said above, you are getting 2.33 to 1 if called, so even if you knew he had a set and you knew he would call it would STILL be the right play. but there is a decent chance he does not have a set and a minor chance that he will fold, therefore, the push is CLEAR. nice play. |

Re: 6 Turbo SNG, FTP, playing a two big draws early vs a big pair
Thanks for everyone's input, took some time off from serious LL SNG play after Party left us high and dry, recommitting myself and trying to analyze more. I like this forum.
I knew my worst case was I'm against a set. But drawing to the nuts with 8 live diamonds and 3 5's, I've got a bare minimum of 11 outs twice. If my ace is good, that's another 3 outs, plus the 4 of diamonds is good if he doesn't have that set. I put him on QQ, KK or AA on the flop RR. Another reason I did this is that it's a Turbo, and if I double through here, my chances of cashing/winning increase dramatically. More later, thanks...... |

Your chips are precious and you need them so you can pushbot later, you shouldn't willfully get involved in flips early. I don't mind doing something like check/shove or even bet/shove, but you absolutely need significant fold equity to do it, you don't have it here, so fold. |
