Default 4.40 Big river bet, im not sure

4.40 on PS. No reads on the villain other than a few hands ago he bet into a multiway pot wiht KQs, got called turned a flush draw bet again, hit it in on the river and bet about 5000 which was a bigger than pot bet but the other guy only had like 1800 left tho. Im not really sure whats going on here, help me out. I checked on the turn because I thought I figured I have the best hand and was hoping for him to bluff the river for a fair amount of chips but not this much. What now?

I'm more concerned with what he is calling the flop with that could push the river.

I think your mistake is not betting the turn. It set you up to be pushed off the hand on the river and now you have no idea where you stand. The Ace on the turn is the exact card you want to hit so that you can double barrel the board.

As played, probably fold because who knows where you stand.

Not sure what villain is playing at here. He didn't have the odds to call any possible draw on that flop. If he flopped a set he should have been looking for a call at the end.

I would have bet the turn to get more info on where you stood.

definitely bet the turn, as you are missing out a huge deal of information here in this spot...

As played I'm probably folding to his overbet, we still have a very playable stack and only really beat a bluff, MAYBE a weak ace, because he thinks you haven't got one, but that would be crazy play (4.40$ are often crazy play ) Without reads Fold.
