Tax / Poker Account Legalities: Advice Please
Okay there are a number of questions I want to pose here. Advice would be appreciated as this stuff is really stressing me out.
1) How is it humanly possible to get a Full Tilt account with rakeback (in my name), given that I already signed up without it? Pretty much [censored], aren't I? 2) In Australia does a small stakes poker player have to pay tax? I am not looking for speculation here. I read in an interview that because Joe Hachem was employed when he won the main event he did not have to pay tax to the Australian government. I am currently not employed. This all began because I didn't sign up for rakeback on Full Tilt. I e-mailed them a couple of times to see if they could alter this. I offered the rational explanation that we would both lose out as they would not recieve ANY rake from me under the current conditions. Why oh why won't they just give me rakeback? Notes: I am currently playing on party and absolutely hate it. I love Full Tilt's software and the table selection available. That is where I want to be. Please offer solutions. |
